In September H&I Village Society History Group met up with a group of older residents who were keen to get their memories of village life recorded for posterity. As a result, a long term project has begun to record the village memories of long term residents. We are hoping to organise a series of monthly meetings, initially at various hostelries, for folk to meet up  and exchange their memories of life in H&I over the last 50/60 years. Three meetings have been arranged before Christmas.

Monday 30th September, King Bill snug 7.30 p.m.
Monday 28th October, Red Lion lounge 7.30 p.m.
Monday 2nd December, The Boot dining room 7.30 p.m.

Suggestions for other possible venues would be much appreciated. Have a chat with the chaps who have inspired the project, Messrs John Hopkin, Dennis Marshall, Charlie Sadler, Dick Hibbett and Keith Tolliday when you see them about.
