Histon and Impington Village Society

Stimulating public interest in the history, care and preservation of Histon & Impington since 1979

Welcome to the pages for the Histon and Impington Village Society.  These pages give a taste of our joint villages, snapshots from individual years, and stories of local characters and Chivers, the major employer in the village.

There are also sights of Impington and Histon today (both are relatively large, because of the number of images).

Finally – Calling all the descendants of those 18th and 19th century Histon and Impington Emigrants.

Annual membership £12 from 2017 Visitors £4 per meeting.

The Society meets once a month either on zoom or at the one of the village churches during term time for lectures on themes of local and general interest. One of the most popular meetings takes place in January, when, after the AGM, the Chairman of the Parish Council is invited to speak on issues currently affecting Histon and Impington.

New members are welcome – you can come along and join at any of the meetings.
